Unlocking Your Ball-Striking from the Posterior View

06/06/2025

Most players when analyzing their swing will record their swing from face-on or down-the-line, but there’s a lesser-used angle that can reveal a ton about your movement, the posterior view.

In this new 10-minute voice-over video, we’ll take a detailed look at this perspective and explain why it’s one of the best tools for uncovering fundamentals that consistently show up in elite ball-strikers.

We explore:

  • ✅ Hip and spine tilt at setup
  • ✅ Spine tilt throughout the backswing
  • ✅ Sequencing: upper vs. lower body rotation
  • ✅ Movement of the pelvis center from setup to impact
  • ✅ Trail elbow depth and arm structure at the top
  • ✅ Width in the backswing
  • ✅ Lateral motion in the lower body during transition
  • ✅ Upper/lower body relationship at impact

This is one of those perspectives that helps strip away stylistic differences and puts the spotlight on some of the core fundamentals in the golf swing.

It’s helped me make changes in my own swing, players I work with, and I think it can help you too.
