Swing Faults or Skillful Compensations?
Most “swing faults” in the golf swing are happening because they need to happen.
In many cases, what we see as faults aren’t actually faults at all, they’re often the most effective compensations the player has available in that moment to deliver the best possible result with the positions and patterns they’ve created earlier in the swing.
Rather than chasing the “fault” itself, the key is to work backwards. Look earlier in the chain and identify what’s creating the need for that compensation in the first place. When you find and start working on that piece, the pattern and ball flight often starts to shift quite quickly.
In this video, we’ll look at 3 examples of when a “swing fault” isn’t a fault at all, and what might actually be causing it.
