Early releasing the golf club is one of the most common faults that creates heavy, thin contact and a lack of speed and distance. There isn’t a quick fix in here, you will be attacking the route cause of this fault, so when we build the new pattern, its there to stay.

This practice manual explores the concept of lead arm adduction in the golf swing, what it is, how it directly influences strike quality, trajectory control, clubhead speed and how to practice it.

We’ll break down the key differences between professional and amateur swings, highlighting how effective lead arm adduction allows great ball strikers to create and transfer speed through a more efficient kinematic sequence. Particular attention is given to acceleration and deceleration timing, and how these patterns help deliver energy from the body to the club at the right moment.

Through clear visual references and practical drills, this course shows how improving lead arm adduction can lead to:

more consistent strike,

improved ball flight,

increased speed,

and better overall swing efficiency.

This is not about forcing positions, but about understanding how and when the lead arm works in harmony with the body to produce repeatable golf swings.
